Saint Michael V2, Trippie Redd’s seventh studio album and a deluxe to Saint Michael, comes as his final one under a deal with 10K Projects worth $30,000,000, which contained the release of three albums over three years.

Trippie confirmed in an Instagram livestream that he had no plans of slowing down during 2023, vaguely saying he was “dropping again” before 2023’s end — which already contained the release of his respective fifth & sixth studio albums, MANSION MUSIK & A Love Letter To You 5.

The first snippet teased following the completion of ALLTY5, had been a post captioned:

No this not from 5 🥱 and yes I’m dropping another album before the year ends 💋✌🏼

A couple of days later, on August 8, 2023, Trippie previewed another snippet on an Instagram post, asking fans who they wanted featured on the drill track, “Pray 4 Us”.

On August 12, 2023, a day after A Love Letter To You 5 released, Trippie Redd pinned his Instagram comment (on a now-deleted post) assuring that his seventh studio album will mix all of his music styles:

I get it no more dropping just love or just rage it time drop all vibe’s together🥱🌻🤭

On November 10, 2023, Trippie released Saint Michael and claimed that he’d release another seven songs on top of the EP to complete his next studio album at fourteen tracks.

Through Trippie Redd’s Discord server, the full tracklist was revealed, consisting of ten additional tracks, completing the full album. Trippie would later confirm that the full album would be released on November 24.

Since the announcement, the tracklist had gone through changes, with “Wizard 101” being added and “I Love It” being the new official bonus track. While the project still consists of seventeen tracks, K Suave, YTB Fatty, and 9lives serves as extra features.
