REAL RAW! is the sophomore studio record by Rhode Island artist JELEEL!, the album follows up with his March 2021 deluxe version of his extended-play Generation Z!

The first mention of the record dates back to a tweet from April 16, 2022, where he would publicly state that the album would go under the name REAL RAW!; previously the title for the album went under the name NEW BLADE, revealed through an Instagram conversation.

On January 9, 2023, JELEEL! would publicly announce “RIDE THE WAVE!” as the lead single, which later released on January 11th.

On March 10, 2023, JELEEL! would collaborate with Armani White to release the second lead single “GNARLY!”

In an Instagram post from March 19, 2023, JELEEL! would allude to the album’s release date, stating:

About a week later from that Instagram post, JELEEL! took to his Discord server and announced that REAL RAW! would be dropping on the first week of May. He would publicly start the roll out on April 28, 2023, accompanying a video of JELEEL! crashing through a wall.

On May 2, 2023, JELEEL! would officially unviel the tracklist via Instagram.
