Underdog 3 is Duwap Kaine’s sixth release of the year, following up September’s Family Guy, as well as the third installment in the Underdog trilogy. Like with the first installment, the entire album is produced by Nine9, a longtime collaborator.

Unlike the second installment where all of the songs were from the first Underdog era, Underdog 3 consists of brand new songs recorded by Duwap in less than a month, according to him via a Twitter post, following the album’s release.

On October 24, 2022, Duwap took to Twitter teasing his fans that he might drop either a song or a new project.

Although the album was released with zero announcements prior, Duwap first revealed the project on October 24, 2022, via an Instagram post, revealing the album’s cover art and an October 25 release date exclusive to Apple Music:
