It has been confirmed that Riky Rick’s posthumous album is almost ready for release. This future project, Boss Zonke Forever, is scheduled to be released on April 4, 2025.
It was rumoured that Riky Rick was working on an album prior to his tragic death. Despite his inability to finish the project, several of the tracks were almost finished, and thanks to an agreement between his label and family, a number of these unreleased records were re-engineered and are now ready for distribution.
In contrast to most of Riky Rick’s work, this one usually focusses more on hip-hop culture while including Afro-Pop and soulful piano.
Collaborations from Kelvin Momo, Elaine, Casper Nyovest, 25k, Focalistic, Gemini Major, and more talented artists will be featured on this 16-track album. With the exception of Cishe Ngaposta, who has been teased on social media a lot, the majority of the album’s tunes are brand-new.
We are generally satisfied with the list, though it’s difficult to say whether the featured artists would have been what Riky Rick would have desired.
